Celebrating 19 Years of Trust, Technology, and Growth — The IT Gallery Story

, by Rukshika Perera, 6 min reading time

As IT Gallery Computers (Pvt) Ltd proudly marks its 19th anniversary, the milestone celebrates a journey built on innovation, reliability, and the strong partnerships that have defined the company since 2007. From its early days as a young IT venture to its current standing as one of Sri Lanka's leading value-added distributors, with a portfolio spanning Lenovo, Hikvision, Pantum, EZVIZ, and more, and a national network of over 450 partners, this is the story of a company that has grown by staying true to its values.

Nineteen years. Nineteen years of building, learning, partnering, and growing alongside Sri Lanka's evolving technology landscape. As IT Gallery Computers (Pvt) Ltd proudly marks its 19th anniversary, the milestone is more than a number on a calendar. It is a celebration of a journey built on innovation, reliability, and the strong partnerships that have come to define the company's identity. From its earliest days as a young IT venture to its current standing as one of Sri Lanka's leading value-added distributors of globally renowned ICT brands, IT Gallery's story has always been guided by one clear commitment: to deliver genuine technology solutions and exceptional service to its customers across the island.

The story began in 2007, when IT Gallery set out with a simple but ambitious vision, to bridge the gap between world-class technology brands and the local Sri Lankan market, and to do it with integrity, expertise, and a genuine focus on the customer. In those early years, the foundation was laid through direct importing of computer accessories, alarm systems, laptop accessories, and ZeusTech products, alongside an early focus on CCTV and surveillance solutions that would later become one of the company's strongest pillars. Recognition came quickly, including the HP sales achievement award for 2009 for best sales in the Western Province, signalling that this was a company determined to do things the right way, and to be measured by results.

As the years progressed, IT Gallery's portfolio expanded in step with the country's growing appetite for advanced technology. The company added Norton and AVG to its software offering, formed a Microsoft partnership for Windows and Office applications, and was appointed as a Hikvision and EAST UPS distributor, appointments that would go on to shape the company's identity in the surveillance and power solutions categories for years to come. The launch of IT Gallery's own brand, OCEAN, introduced a homegrown line of computer peripherals and multimedia devices to the Sri Lankan market, further demonstrating that the company was not content to simply distribute global brands but was equally committed to creating local value. Along the way, partnerships with Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, and Fortinet expanded IT Gallery's reach into enterprise solutions, while collaborations with Tramigo for GPS and GSM solutions and JEWAY for computer accessories added further depth to its distribution capability.

Today, IT Gallery's portfolio reads like a who's who of trusted global technology brands. Lenovo, Hikvision, Pantum, EZVIZ, A4Tech, East UPS, Ocean, and HIKSEMI are all distributed by the company, each one representing a category in which IT Gallery has earned a reputation for product knowledge, technical expertise, and dependable support. The company's growth is reflected not just in its brand portfolio but in its channel strength as well, with a distribution network that now spans more than 450 partners across the country. From small resellers in regional towns to large system integrators in the capital, IT Gallery's partner ecosystem is the engine that has carried these brands into homes, businesses, schools, and public institutions across Sri Lanka.

Recognition has followed throughout the journey, and the last few years alone have been remarkable. IT Gallery has hosted the much-celebrated annual Hikvision Partner Summits, the most recent edition drawing more than 400 channel partners and showcasing AI-driven innovations like the Hikvision AcuSeek NVR while honouring three Sri Lankan professionals selected for the global Hik Tech Stars programme. The company also recently launched a new lineup of Pantum printers at the Pantum Partner Summit 2026, marking 14 successful years of Pantum in Sri Lanka under the theme of "Continuous Innovation." And just this year, IT Gallery was honoured with the prestigious Distributor Excellence Award 2025–2026 for Gaming & Visual, Sri Lanka, at Lenovo 360 Accelerate 2026, a recognition that placed the company on the global Lenovo partner stage alongside top performers from around the world. Each of these moments has been a chapter in the same ongoing story, the story of a Sri Lankan distributor that has consistently raised its own standards while staying grounded in the values that built it.

Beyond the products and the partnerships, however, IT Gallery's growth has been powered by something that is harder to quantify but impossible to overlook, relationships. Customers who have remained loyal year after year, partners and dealers who have grown their own businesses alongside IT Gallery's success, global brands that have placed their trust in the company to represent them in Sri Lanka, and a team whose dedication, passion, and professionalism have been the constant thread running through every milestone. The 19th anniversary belongs as much to them as it does to IT Gallery itself. Every long-standing customer who returns for their next purchase, every dealer who has walked through good times and challenging times alongside the company, every brand partner who has shared in the growth, and every staff member who has contributed their effort and energy, they are all part of this story.

Looking ahead, the next chapter is one of fresh ambition. The technology landscape is shifting faster than ever, with AI-driven solutions, intelligent surveillance, smart printing, advanced gaming and creator hardware, and cloud-connected ecosystems all reshaping how Sri Lankans live, work, and do business. IT Gallery is ready for that future, and is already moving with confidence into it through the continued strength of its brand partnerships, its national distribution network, and its growing investment in technical capability and partner enablement. The principles that have guided the company for 19 years, genuine products, honest service, deep technical knowledge, and a genuine partner-first approach, remain unchanged, and they will continue to shape every step forward.

To every customer who has chosen IT Gallery over the past 19 years, to every partner and dealer who has shared this journey, to the global brands who have placed their trust in the company, and to the IT Gallery team whose dedication has made every milestone possible, thank you. Thank you for believing in the vision, for growing with it, and for being part of a story that continues to unfold with the same energy that began it all in 2007. Here's to 19 years of excellence, and to many more years of powering progress together.
